Zoom Talk by Gilly Hayward – Pruning: Why, When and How?
Pruning is an aspect of gardening which many people find difficult to grasp – it is all too easy to prune shrubs at the wrong time and destroy all the flowering potential for the year to come. In this talk, Gilly will be dispelling some of the mystery surrounding pruning, explaining when and how to tackle it, and why it benefits the plants concerned.
This talk will be of interest to anyone with an overgrown garden, but it is also useful for those of us who grow roses, clematis and hydrangeas, as well as other woody shrubs.
The Zoom link will be sent out a couple of days beforehand, so keep an eye on your inbox. As with previous Gardening Club Zoom talks, this one will be open to all villagers, so I hope you can join us on the evening for what promises to be a useful and informative lecture.
