A note from John & Jane at the Dunkery Beacon Country House
During this time of hot weather most home owners will have windows/doors open to allow the cool breeze in to their house. We suggest that until cooler weather returns, open bonfires are not lit and consideration is given to the potential fire risks from sparks and embers. As the ground is very dry, it won’t take much before we see another moorland fire such as they are experiencing in Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
