Croquet Club

The Wootton Courtenay Croquet Club was founded in 2010 by John Bell, and croquet has since become a well established village activity.

The club meets, weather permitting, at the lawn on the playing field, on Monday and Friday afternoons at 2.30pm, and we would really love to welcome some new members. Previous experience is not necessary.

We play Golf Croquet, a less complicated game than the traditional Association Croquet, and this makes for a far more evenly balanced and more sociable game. We are friendly, fun, and only a bit competitive! We sometimes play friendly matches with other clubs and this is the only time that we wear whites.

Each session costs £2, or annual membership £50, but we offer a free starter session to anyone who would like to have a go. Just turn up on any Monday or Friday – we would be delighted to see you. We have spare mallets, and you may be surprised at how much you enjoy it!
