‘WATER – PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE’
AN ILLUSTRATED TALK BY PROFESSOR CHRIS BINNIE
MONDAY 28th JANUARY AT 7.30PM
WOOTTON COURTENAY VILLAGE HALL
We cannot live without water. This lecture, given originally as the Institution of Civil Engineers Bicentenary Water Lecture, will look at the development of our water supply and sanitation systems through the eyes of three generations of the same family – in the Victorian era, the 20th century, and 50 years in the future – and considers the effects of climate change and its global repercussions. Reference will be made to the developments of water in our village.
Expect a fascinating evening, some fun, dressing up and some thought-provoking information from one of our nation’s leading experts on water.
