Please be aware that on Saturday evening somebody crashed into our wall (The Old Rectory). We heard a loud bang and a car driving away obviously damaged by the noise it was making, but by the time we had got outside all we could see was a trail of broken lights and plastic. The vehicle had somehow collided with our wall on the straight piece of road coming up from Lower Town before the bend so we can only assume the vehicle was ether travelling too fast or the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
While the damage to our wall is minimal it could easily have been somebody out walking that was hit, as we know that some villagers take their dogs out for a late night walk, so please be extra vigilant.
