Dear Friends,
As some of you are aware, we have been looking to move to pastures new and, with both sadness and excitement, the time has now come to say farewell to Wootton Courtenay.
During our 11 seasons of trading, we have made many good friends in the village and the community here have been both supportive of our business and ready to aid us in our time of need, for which we are eternally grateful. The pandemic hit everyone particularly hard and with our business having to close during the 3 lockdowns, it seemed only logical to offer a service that was both safe and a much needed treat in the challenging times everyone had to endure. The village and surrounding areas rallied once again to support us and we are truly indebted to everyone. During these times, there was never a better example of community spirit and it was fantastic to see everyone pulling together for the common good.
We shall miss this, together with the stunning beauty of Exmoor and the many friends we have made during our time here. Having packed our worldly goods, we departed yesterday (Monday) and will be handing over the reins to a lovely and enthusiastic couple – Andy and Tanya Downes. We are sure you will all make them feel as welcome as you did us.
Best wishes and au revoir.
John & Jane Bradley
