For National Tree Planting Week, the Parish Council has been given 39 small trees, with stakes and spiral protection: 5 oak, 5 beech, 5 silver birch, 8 lime, 8 crab apple and 8 wild cherry. These can be planted anywhere in the village, but would of course need extra protection if planted where there are sheep or cattle.
Please could anyone interested in having a tree, or trees, contact Kate McKenzie: email katharine.mckenzie@btinternet.com or telephone 07584 951693.
