What is Advent and why is it so important in the church’s calendar? It can’t just be about chocolate, perfume or even gin behind a numbered cardboard window! If you are interested in a discussion about Advent and its meaning, come along to Skye’s Bar at 6.15pm on Tuesday, 6th December. Bishop Brian Castle will open the discussion at 6.30pm. There will be Advent cake as well as an opportunity to share your thoughts. Proceedings will close at 7.30pm.
The second Advent discussion will be on Monday, 19th December, at 6.15 for 6.30pm, also in Skye’s. The topic up for discussion will be the meaning of prayer.
