Tuesday 13th December
Jenny Warwick, formerly of this village and now of Yearnor Farm, Porlock Hill, is known to many as the Director of Take Three Girls theatrical company – which includes live accompanying music. The company has delighted audiences in private and public performances throughout West Somerset.
On 13th December 2022, Jen and her company (www.takethreegirls) will be performing a dramatic reading, with musical accompaniment, of an adaptation of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, after dinner in Dickensian style, at Croydon Hall. This will be a charity event in aid of West Somerset’s Home-Start, which supports families and children in particular need. Wootton Courtenay villagers have regularly supported this charity.
Rehearsals promise that this will prove a fine pre-Christmas evening’s sobering yet joyous entertainment, in stylish surroundings, presented with professionalism and admirable artistic skill.
Doors open at Croydon Hall for drinks at 6.00pm; Dinner at 6.30pm: Performance at 7.30pm. Black tie is encouraged but optional.
Tickets £32. Reservations: www.croydonhall.co.uk or call 01984 642200.
