The parish councillors have decided that, to meet the late Queen’s wishes of a green canopy, a tree will be planted as a long-lasting living memorial. The tree will be a beech, donated by Taunton Dean Nursery and planted in the recreation field. A simple plaque, made from wood from Windsor Castle, will be donated by Martin Ball and put by the tree. Also, a swathe of daffodils will be planted.
