As has been tradition for many years, villagers may wish to display a card to fellow villagers in the shop window, giving a small charitable donation. The main window is now clear of posters and seems the ideal place to express greetings of the season to others. Let’s try to fill the window.
Please do bring in your cards as you wish them to be displayed and I would suggest a donation to any charity of your choice, all seem to be in desperate need at the moment! Via the Post Office, I am able to send monies directly to Children in Need and the Disaster Emergency Committee (which supports World Disasters, currently the Ukraine plight and the Pakistan Floods Appeal). The Air Ambulance box is on hand in the shop, alongside another for Guide Dogs. Traditionally, we have supported the local food bank with this exercise which is more important now than ever, but please do make your own donations elsewhere if you wish; all greatly appreciated.
