Friday Night is Film Night

On Friday night (27th) we will be screening CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) at the village hall. A heart warming tale about Ruby (a child of deaf parents) who discovers singing is her passion. This puts her at cross purposes with her role supporting her parents and brother, and leads to an emotional finale. CODA won three Oscars in 2022 and many other nominations and awards since.

For this screening there will no ticket fee, but a voluntary collection instead, to be donated in full to a suitable deaf-related cause. If you have suggestions for a beneficiary, please let me know.

The film will begin at 7:30pm, and prior to that there will be a small celebration, as Friday will be the day before I get my senior railcard. There will be cake and prosecco!

See you on Friday, doors open at 7.00pm. Help on the door and setting out the refreshments from 6:45pm would be useful.
