You may remember my son, Anthony Knight, who played his violin in Wootton Courtenay Church to raise money for the DEC Ukraine Appeal last October. I thought you may be interested to see all that he has achieved since.
I’m delighted to tell you that, so far, Anthony has visited 32 churches in the Diocese and raised £6,848 for the DEC Ukraine Appeal. It has been quite an adventure! On 29th January he received the High Sheriff’s Award for his charity work in the Diocese.
Anthony is seeking sponsorship for his UNICEF Grand Tour. This summer he will be embarking on a concert tour of the most exclusive hotels in Europe, to raise funds for UNICEF. He’s planning to visit 9 cities in 6 countries over 15 days, performing 12 concerts between July 25th and August 8th. He will be accompanied by his parents and will give performances in Brussels, Frankfurt, Bern, Milan, Venice, Vienna, Prague, Berlin and Cologne, travelling by train with an Interrail Pass and staying in budget hotels en route.
