Position Vacant

The Government has launched a new scheme to recruit Alien Life-Form Liaison Officers across the UK, to monitor unusual activity which might be attributed to extra-terrestrial life. A position is available to cover the Exmoor area – of particular interest because of its dark skies.

The successful candidate will be required to observe the upper atmosphere (especially at night), noting unexplained lights or objects with a view to creating a local database of potential alien activity.

A manual will be provided, including identification charts cataloguing conceivable forms of extra-terrestrial life, from primitive slime moulds to sentient beings.

All equipment, including head torch, catadioptric telescope and thermal imaging camera, will be supplied, along with full uniform (leather boiler suit, helmet, heated gloves, moon boots and safety goggles) and a fold-up chair.
