If you have ever visited one of the great cathedrals or minsters in the late afternoon, you may have found yourself listening to, or even joining in with, Sung Evensong. Although it’s more usual for an Evensong service to be celebrated in big church venues – and we ‘are a little church, no big cathedral’ – we like, occasionally, to punch above our weight. So the service at All Saints’ Church, Wootton Courtenay, at 6pm on Sunday, 11th June, will be one of Sung Evensong.
This is not a communion service but it is very uplifting, so please join us on Sunday next for this beautiful service. We hope to welcome several members of Porlock’s Choir to swell the singing. Drinks and nibbles will follow the service – outside if the weather is kind.
Many thanks,
Amanda
