We have had a delivery of new (well, secondhand, so ‘new to us’) books at All Saints’ Church. There are many discarded ex-library books amongst them, all in good condition, so please come and have a search – a really good root about – for a book bargain: hardbacks £1, paperbacks 50p. Money in the oak coffer please.
I know it’s ‘the old, old story’, but our Church is short of funds and every book purchased makes a difference to the upkeep of a building that is ageing inexorably, if gracefully! And you may find a good book, new to you, or an old treasure you thought gone forever, which is always a great feeling!
