Our Rector, the Revd Caroline Ralph, will be leaving the Dunster Benefice at the end of September. The Dunster Benefice will then cease to exist and All Saints’ Church, Wootton Courtenay, together with Timberscombe and Dunster churches will become part of the new, yet to be named, Benefice under the care of the Revd Kenneth Cross. However, our church services, and those at Timberscombe, will largely be taken by the Revd Nicola Butt.
On Sunday, 24th September at 3pm in St George’s Church, Dunster there will be a service of thanksgiving and farewell for Caroline. This service will be followed by afternoon tea at the Tithe Barn in Dunster and a chance to say goodbye to her.
Everyone in the parish of All Saints’ and all the other parishes in the Dunster Benefice are invited to come along to the service and then to enjoy a nice tea afterwards. Please let me know, at panda.elliott@gmail.com, if you’d like to come along – this is just for catering purposes and the closing date is 10th September.
There is also a Benefice-wide collection for Caroline and if anyone would like to contribute, please would they put cash or cheques (made out to All Saints’ Church, Wootton Courtenay) in an envelope and either put it through my door (Panda’s House) or leave in the shop, marked ‘for Amanda’.
With many thanks.
Amanda Elliott
