Action Challenge have organised a 50km walk/run to take place today (Saturday), commencing at Dunster Castle and passing through the village as indicated by the signs. Approx 1,500 people have entered and it was planned to have a staging post up near the Beacon.
Due to the inclement weather forecast, the organisers have shortened the distance and at 11:00 am yesterday asked WC Village Hall if we could accommodate a staging post for refreshments, first aid, etc.
At very short notice this has been organised and they have arranged for 8 Portaloos to be set up in the hall carpark. It has been agreed that entry to the hall will only be for those who have removed their shoes. The runners will then continue up Roadway Lane.
