The landowners on Wootton Ridge (including areas of Alcombe Common, Hopcott Common, Wootton Courtenay and Grabbist Hill), in association with Butterfly Conservation, are considering how best to carry out future management to improve the open areas of the site for people and wildlife. They have contracted Footprint Ecology to assist with the consultation. Click here to read an online presentation about the site, and other background information.
The consultation period runs from Monday 14th August to Saturday 30th September 2023, after which a suite of preferred options for future management, in the light of the views you and others provide, will be identified.
The landowners are seeking the best solutions for the future management of the open areas of Wootton Ridge and the widest consensus on how this can be achieved. Please help us by giving your views and ideas. You can do this by emailing Fenella Lewin at commons@footprint-ecology.co.uk.
Thank you.
