Mark Oxtoby is probably best known amongst us as an impressive photographer, but he is also a registered gas heating engineer and, as such, he has serviced my LPG boiler each year since he arrived in the village. Recently I had some problems with my boiler’s ignition system and I’m delighted to say that Mark was able to strip it down, thoroughly clean it of the many spiders that had somehow ventured into its midst, and replace a defective fan. Mark’s response was, as always, excellent and his bill extremely reasonable considering the number of hours he worked. In the past, he has also bled my many radiators and undertaken some plumbing installations for me – all equally well carried out and so much more quickly than calling in someone from outside the village. If you have an LPG boiler that needs service or repair, need extra radiators installing or a plumber to fix a leaking tap, think to call Mark (Tel: 07973 177819) – he comes highly recommended.
