Sad news this morning about Bob Shire, who has died on Tuesday 26th September at the age of 102. He had been living in Wootton Courtenay for the best part of 40 years and for much of that time was a very keen member of the Bowls Club. He enjoyed crosswords, still managing to complete the Telegraph crossword only a few days before he died, and he loved model making. He was a great character who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
