The parish council bought a bench to commemorate the Coronation, which has now been installed at the far end of the recreation field with a lovely view back towards the village (see below).
The bench was made in Dunster from a fallen oak tree from the edge of Conygar woodland. The parish councillors felt that this would commemorate the Coronation in a sustainable way that they hope King Charles III would find in keeping with his strong views on nature. Swathes of daffodils have also been planted near the bench, making it a lovely area for people to relax and enjoy.
