Gardening Club Talk

Tuesday 28th November at 7.30pm in the Village Hall

Felicity Downs – ‘All-Year-Round Colour in the Garden

Club members entry: free. Guests: £3 per person

November’s Gardening Club talk will be given by broadcaster, plantswoman, garden designer, florist and floral demonstrator Felicity Downs, who will offer plenty of visual ideas on how to bring all-year-round colour into our gardens. Felicity has travelled abroad extensively, and for many years has delivered regional lectures for the Royal Horticultural Society at Cleeve.

Spring and summer are naturally colourful, but how can we bring interest to our gardens during the rest of the year? Autumn and winter highlights can include tinted foliage, colourful bark, berries and evergreen structure all play a part. This talk will inspire us to keep our gardens looking good throughout the year, which also extends the season for any foraging insects and other wildlife, too.

Why not come along and brighten up a late November evening with good company and an interesting lecture?
