We would like to say thank you to Marcus Capel for his really interesting and very personal talk ‘Zebras and Ponies’, which took us on a journey from his birth in Zambia to his present day commitment to The Pony Club. It was attended by a very appreciative audience of around fifty people, and it was definitely an evening of shared friendships and good humour. Thank you also to Mark for his wonderful mulled wine!
A significant sum of £243 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support, who have already shown their gratitude (see photo below).

This was the last talk of 2023 and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the lovely speakers who have entertained us, and the audiences who have generously supported some very worthwhile causes. You all make me very proud. Although this was the final talk of the year it is not the last of the talks. Three more are planned for January, February, and March 2024, so watch this space!
