The service this Sunday, 10th December, at All Saints’ Church, Wootton Courtenay, is ‘Songs of Praise for Advent’ at 11am. Some well-known hymns and some Advent poetry will feature, to help us celebrate Advent with style. Coffee and mince pies after the service. Everyone most warmly welcome.
The second ‘Thinking about Advent’, led by Brian Castle, will be in the villagers’ store at 6.30 for 7pm on Monday, 11th December. The discussion will consider the concept of ‘Following the Star’, plus TS Eliot’s poem ‘The Journey of the Magi’. The bar will be open for mulled wine, amongst other beverages, and there will be cake and mince pies.
