Christmas Carol Service

The Carol Service at All Saints’ Church, Wootton Courtenay, is on Friday, 22nd December at 6pm. There really is no other service quite like it in our church’s calendar. There are six Bible readings, telling the well-known story of the Nativity, each one read by a village resident or friend to the village. There are three poems with food for ‘thinking outside the box’, again read by village residents who could be one of your neighbours. There is singing by, not one but two choirs: ‘Friends in Harmony’, generously visiting us from Porlock, and our very own ‘Moor Harmony’, who we know and love. And six belting carols which everyone can join in and enjoy.

The retiring collection is for three youth charities: Exmoor Youth Project; Children’s Hospice (SW) and the Children’s Society. So, if you can only bear to come to church once a year, come and join us on Friday. It’s a cosy village affair!

And I can’t believe I nearly forgot to say that there are drinks and nibbles after the service.

Please come along – it’s truly enjoyable and, great news, we’ve got two electric radiators to take the chill off the church!
