We would like to thank Anne Scullard for her beautifully presented and inspirational talk entitled ‘Dyeing With Plants’. We were certainly made aware of the wonderful, natural shades that can be produced with plants out of our own garden. Active audience participation, an informative quiz, and an insight into the reason why the Malala Fund promotes education for girls, made this both an enjoyable and a thought provoking evening. Thank you, Anne.
Thank you also to Anne’s husband David, whose contribution proved very valuable, and to an appreciative audience who ventured out on a cold night to show their support and to raise £131 in the retiring collection for a very worthwhile cause. It was a great evening.
