We have six beautiful bells in All Saints’ Church, the oldest of which – the tenor bell which chimes with the clock – was cast in 1629. However, nowadays, apart from by the occasional troupe of travelling bell ringers, they are seldom rung. But that’s all about to change – with faux apologies to Mike and Hazel and to Ingrid and Nigel – because Paddy has offered to show anyone in the village who is interested how to bell ring.
So, if you are interested, come along to the church at 2pm on Tuesday, 30th January. You can be introduced to the bells and find out if bell ringing is for you.
Perhaps a new interest for the (nearly) new year?
