Easter Garden Blessing on Easter Sunday

We are now in Holy Week, the week running up to Easter Day. You’ll have seen from the Benefice Newsletter that there are many services throughout the Benefice this week. The Final Hour on Good Friday at 2pm in Dunster’s St George’s and the Service of Light at St Michael’s in Alcombe at 8pm on Saturday (30th March) to name but two.

We celebrate Easter in Wootton Courtenay, led by Bishop Brian Castle, with the Blessing of the Easter Garden under the churchyard’s ancient yew tree, on Easter Sunday at 11am.

Then there will be a break for coffee and cake followed, in All Saints’ Church, by a renewal of baptismal vows and a Communion Service for Easter.

Everyone is most warmly invited to celebrate Easter at All Saints’ at 11am on Easter Sunday – and I do hope you’ll all come to, at least, part of the Easter Service, otherwise I’ll be left with an awful lot of Simnel Cake and I don’t like marzipan, so no pressure!

Remember: the clocks go back on 30th.
And bring a chair if you need one for the outside part of the service.

It’d be lovely to see you all and to celebrate Easter together as a village.
