A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to breakfast at the village hall yesterday and an equally warm thank you to those who made donations, either of money or breakfast goods, but didn’t make it to the breakfast themselves.
The money raised is all for the repair to the roof to the back of the church – the slates are slipping because the nails are failing and the roof timbers have woodworm. Thanks to your generosity we raised £500 in cash and possibly more through contactless giving. A great start to what is going to be a long-term fundraising project.
Finally, many people enjoyed breakfast yesterday due to the sheer hard-work of Margaret Smith. Thank you Margaret for keeping calm and just carrying on!
