We would like to thank the volunteers who have taken over the Sunday papers: Brian Matthews, Paul and Nicky Scott, Barbara O’Keefe and Jackie Fry are doing a sterling job for us and all seems to be going well, with no hiccups so far. I’m sure you’ll be pleased to hear that we’re putting our free time to good use, with a couple of fun Saturday nights out, followed by a relaxing day and catch-up with family over Sunday lunch.
Rob Reed kindly brought the first lot of surplus vegetables into the shop last week and we will be having the same system as last year, with donations to Cancer Research. If anyone has surplus produce, please do bring it in and hopefully we’ll raise a whole lot more for a worthy cause!
The Free Press turned up last Friday, so hopefully, after many nagging phone calls and emails from me, they have finally sorted out the distribution problems. It only took a month! Fingers crossed for next week.
