HOME VISITS FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
If you are thinking about making your home more energy efficient, the following new village scheme may be of help to you. A number of villagers, who have recently added energy efficient improvements to their homes, are willing to show other villagers what they have done and discuss how they did it.
The following villagers will be happy to show and discuss their energy efficiency measures with you. Addresses and very brief details of their systems are listed below. For security reasons contact telephone numbers are listed in the energy information file in the shop, and a copy is held by Sarah and Mark in the event of the file being borrowed.
If you wish to visit a property, please ring the appropriate number and arrange a mutually convenient time to visit. You will be assured of a warm welcome.

We have a low carbon energy system, which includes a 7kW solar PV array generating just over 6MW/year, a super-insulated 1,000 litre (1 tonne) water thermal store, and a 16kW gasification log boiler. We also have experience with solar charging a plug-in hybrid car, using a smart electricity (import) tariff which tracks the wholesale electricity price and changes every 30 minutes, and we’re happy to share three year’s worth of data on solar PV generation.
