This year, our lent discussions, led by the Revd Nicola Butt, will be centred around ‘The Shack’, written in 2008 by William Paul Young.
This book, a worldwide bestseller, is about a man who, in the depths of despair and in the midst of a life-changing tragedy, meets and talks with God. Exploring the much asked question of ‘Where is God during times of unspeakable agony and pain?’, the author seeks to find his answers by a deeper consideration of the Trinity – God in three persons. In ‘The Shack’ we are invited to a place of transforming and healing love.
These discussions will take place at the Villagers’ Stores, Wootton Courtenay, on Monday 17th, 24th and 31st March, 6.30 for 7pm. The bar will be open and snacks provided. Everyone is invited.
