Do we have a summer treat for you? Well, yes we do, with a screening of the Royal Ballet’s ‘La Fille Mal Gardee’ or ‘The Wayward Girl’, showing at the village hall on Monday, 23rd June. The evening will start at 7pm with strawberries or raspberries and a summer punch. On this occasion, there will be no bar. The performance will start at 7.30pm and finish about 9.30pm, with a very brief interval, as the ballet is less than two hours long.
A classic in the Royal Ballet’s repertoire, this performance dates from 2015, with Natalia Osipova and Steven McCrae as the romantic leads and Philip Mosley as the Widow Simone, who dances the famous clog dance – it’ll be like a pantomime!
Please put your name down on the list in the shop if you’d like to come along, just so we have a rough idea how much fruit and how much punch we will need. Tickets on the door will be £20 with refreshments and £12.50 without refreshments. It’d be lovely to see you there for our Summer Gala 2025.
