The National Grid team looked at Fairgarden Road yesterday and found there were poles and stays that needed permissions for access, which unfortunately hadn’t been factored into the decision to start work there. As a result, New Road will be the next road to be closed, starting on Monday next week and lasting for 2 – 3 days only. Below is a map which highlights New Road.
Apologies for any confusion this causes after yesterday’s email message, but decisions are being made at short notice at the moment and we are doing our best to keep you updated.
Ranscombe Road will be open from now on.
Once the work on New Road is complete (by end of next Wednesday at the latest), work will begin on Fairgarden Road (the road leading down the hill from the church).
