Following Tuesday’s reminder about the Roman Feast in the village hall this October, you might feel like doing some research on the Dumnonii people, who lived in this area during the Roman occupation of Britain. Luckily for you, St Petrock’s History Society in Timberscombe have a talk coming up in September which will enlighten and educate you on just that topic! Professor of Landscape Archaeology at Exeter University, Stephen Rippon, will be giving a talk on Iron Age, Roman and Early Medieval settlement in Dumnonia. Perfect timing!
