National Grid Works Update

National Grid are returning to the village on the 9th of September, and the work will hopefully be finished by the 17th. After the 17th if there is anything is left to do it will only be BT transfers and pole removals.

The road closure workzone map is available to view here for everybody’s reference, and we will be on specific roads on the following days:

9th September
ROAD B
Church to Brockwell Lane

10th September
ROAD C
New Road
On this day we are also installing a new supply to a 5G mast for the village.

11th September
ROAD D
Fairgarden Road

16th and 17th September
ROAD E
Ranscombe Road

Letters are on their way to customers regarding the power outages.

Everyone will have one outage of 9:00am-5:00pm. Some people will also have a short interruption of 2 or 3 hrs on a different day, to accommodate short-duration works on a transformer pole. This is because the high voltage will be switched off for safety reasons.

Some people will be provided with generator power on one day (those people will have already received a letter) between 8:00am-9:00am and 4:00pm-6:00pm.

We have done everything we can to minimise disruption and we’d like to say how much we’ve appreciated everyone’s cooperation with us in completing these works.
