A Talk by Sir Andrew Burns: ‘Gaza – what’s it all about?’
There will be a talk by Sir Andrew Burns at the village hall, Wootton Courtenay, on 9th October, 7 for 7.30pm. The talk, entitled ‘Gaza – what’s it all about?’ will discuss the current very disturbing situation in the Middle East.
Sir Andrew, who was British Ambassador to Israel from 1992-95, and is currently Chair and Strategy Director of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, lives on Exmoor.
There will be a retiring collection in aid of Oasis of Peace UK, a British charity supporting peaceful coexistence between Palestinian and Jewish Israelis (the British Friends of Neve Shalom/Wahat al Salam (WASNS), with which Sir Andrew has long been involved).
