Having returned from holiday I noticed that there are still some old electricity poles and stumps remaining around the village, and I was concerned that they weren’t going to be removed. I contacted Adam Shepherd, who is in charge of the works for National Grid, who told me that the old poles will be removed. The work is scheduled for Tuesday 4th November, and will incur some road closures.
Stumps beside the road or in gardens are due to be removed, but if they are in a hedge they won’t be removed. If you think that you have a stump or pole close to your property that needs to be removed, please contact Adam direct on arshepherd@nationalgrid.co.uk or 07415 488671.
