Trish Matthews

I would like to thank all those who visited Trish during her final weeks, prior to her passing away peacefully at home on the 19th December.

Whilst her memory by then was non-existent and she could not remember where she was or who people were, it was so lovely to see her chatting to friends about her life as a youngster, as that was the only memory she had remaining.

I would also like to thank the over 35 people from the village who sent me letters, cards or just stopped me in the road with kind words of condolence, and many of you referred to her as a “lovely lady” which she always was to me.

It was so reassuring to find so many people cared and were thinking of us – it meant a lot to me.
