Mark and I would like to thank everyone for all the lovely gifts and Christmas cards full of kind and encouraging words. We’d also like to say a special thanks to the Sunday paper volunteers Paul, Nicky and Barbara and, new to the team, Nicky Parnell, enabling us to have a full day off together.
Another big thanks to the Villagers Stores’ Board of Directors, who have continued to listen to our needs and make improvements to the property. We are having our first warm winter in the flat after interior insulation was installed in the attic bedrooms and landing and WOW, what a massive difference it’s made!
On a personal note, I want to thank Mark for being there for me through the difficult times and I really hope 2026 is a healthier and happier one for everyone!
One apology, too – I’ve failed to get my head around Christmas deliveries from suppliers, so we are short on fresh produce this week (apart from milk and bread), but we’ll be back to normal next week. I’m pretty sure most of you will be finishing off your surplus Christmas food, so I’m hoping it’s not too much of an inconvenience.
