Many thanks to everyone who attended Saturday’s art exhibition and afternoon tea, and to those who weren’t able to attend but made donations. Thank you also to Mark and Sarah for their sterling work with ticket sales, and to so many of you for helping to clear up after the event.
It was a lovely afternoon which raised £418 for Paragon, the Somerset domestic abuse helpline charity. I’m sure the money will be put to good use, particularly when you consider that referrals in Somerset in 2024 reached a total of 3,325, which is more than the total number for Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and Sussex combined.
Favourite artist results (as voted by those present) – 1st place went to Laura Knight, with Rosa Bonheur coming a close 2nd and Berthe Morisot in 3rd place.
We look forward to seeing you all again at next year’s event.
