I haven’t sent any village emails over the past three days, and I know that their absence has caused some villagers to worry that there might be something wrong with their email systems. It was simply that I didn’t receive any messages to post. However, if you’re ever concerned that you might be missing village messages, just go to the website Home page, where the regular messages are posted before they go out via email, and you can see if you’re missing any.
Emergency village emails (like those about escaped sheep or an unexpectedly blocked road) don’t appear on the website, but all the regular messages do, so it’s an easy way to check.
Since the recent problem with Mailerlite ‘bouncing’ BT internet and TalkTalk email addresses, we have been keeping an eye on the subscriber list to ensure that no email addresses are unsubscribed due to being repeatedly bounced.
