An Evening of Poetry and Prose to Commemorate the End of the First World War

On Sunday, November 11th, at 7.30pm, in All Saints’ church, Wootton Courtenay, there will be an evening of poetry and prose, with a bit of singing, to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.  Read by Wootton Courtenay residents – and first performed in 2014 – the pieces will tell the story of the war, from outbreak to remembrance, with all the events in between.  An evening of powerful emotion and a chance to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
