WATER – PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
AN ILLUSTRATED TALK BY PROFESSOR CHRIS BINNIE
This Monday 28th January – 7.30pm in the Village Hall
We cannot live without water. This lecture, given originally as the Institution of Civil Engineers Bicentenary Water Lecture, will look at the development of our water supply and sanitation systems through the eyes of three generations of the same family, in the Victorian era, the 20th century, and 50 years in the future, considering the effects of climate change and its world effects. Reference will be made to the developments of water in our village. Some surprising information!
Expect a fascinating evening, some fun, dressing up and some thought provoking information from one of our nation’s leading experts on water.
