West Somerset Railway (WSR), in partnership with Somerset CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale), invites all local residents – whether they be train enthusiasts or not – to come and enjoy our Beer Festival, to be held inside the large restoration shed at Washford Station.

The Beer Festival is being held to coincide with WSR’s annual Diesel Gala, which means there will be far more and varied trains running than with the usual rail timetable.  This event replaces the Beer Festival run in previous years by WSR and CAMRA at Minehead railway station.

There will be entertainment, with folk music and dancing on Saturday afternoon, and music from DJ Mick in the evening.

How to Get There

Trains available to Washford station from all WSR stations.  Trains home from Washford to all WSR stations: early evening on the Thursday, but later in the evening on the Friday and Saturday.  Exact times to be confirmed, go to https://www.west-somerset-railway.co.uk/timetables closer the date.

Check bus timetable at http://www.fairerfares.co.uk/somerset/plan-journey/timetables

Or why not cycle (or walk) to Washford station using the cycle paths from Minehead, Blue Anchor and Watchet?

Be aware, there is limited car parking at Washford station, limited seating at the beer festival and sensible shoes and robust clothing will best suit this venue.
