Last week The Guardian newspaper ran this story: 10 amazing ancient ruins in Britain with great views Number 2 on the list was Dunkery Beacon, with a link to this village website. Visitors should know that the walk up to the Beacon is relatively easy, the shortest route being from parking spots on the road here. Half an hour in stout shoes will get you to the top where a marker plate points out the distant landmarks over many miles.
