It is that time of year again when we start thinking of compost, and a possible order from Dalefoot. We have been placing a village order from Dalefoot for several years, in spring and autumn, for their compost which is based on bracken and sheep’s wool, and is very light and easy to handle (Soil Association approved).
Dalefoot now have a policy that, in order to get the best price (trade), we have to order approximately 200 bags (3 pallets), so it may be that we only order once a year.
The price remains the same as in the spring, at approximately £5.00/ bag, including VAT and delivery, but this varies slightly depending on the type of compost required – please look at the Dalefoot website. Bulb and seed compost in smaller bags is cheaper.
I would be grateful if anyone interested could email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with their order before 12th September, when the order will be placed.
Please think of this as an annual order and therefore plan now for autumn and spring use, this will help keep the costs down together with the carbon footprint of delivery.
