The money for the Red Cross Bahamas’ Crisis Appeal was counted yesterday (Monday 14th) at the Red Cross Charity Shop in Minehead. We now know that the amazing sum raised is £292.12! Nearly £300!
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this wonderful result. A thank you letter from the Red Cross will be posted in our village shop and the village hall as soon as I have it. I would like you all to know that this money is, from today, being put to work providing urgent supplies for the thousands of people displaced by Storm Dorian. It will take a very long time to rebuild shattered lives, and we all applaud the Red Cross for their hugely important part in this.
Thank you, everyone! I’m delighted by our result. Many thanks also to Andy for allowing the rather large bucket in the shop for five weeks.
Sending very best wishes,
