Plants for Charity

Do you have any spare plants for charity?

A lovely lady called Judith sells plants from her small courtyard garden in Minehead to raise money for charity.  She grows many of the plants herself and also accepts donations of seedlings, plants and shrubs.  In April and May she raised an amazing £3,000 for the chemotherapy Bumble Bus!

This month she is raising money for Home-Start South West, which is a local charity with no central funding.  Due to the lockdown, the charity has not been able to hold its usual fundraising events.  I am a volunteer with this charity and I know the excellent work it does in our area offering guidance, support and friendship to families with children under seven years old.  Sometimes the parents may be struggling with their own issues and just need that extra support to help them and their children in the key early years.

If you have any spare seedlings, plants or shrubs you would like to donate for Judith to sell in aid of Home-Start South West, please call me on 841871 and I will arrange to collect them safely and deliver them to Judith.

If you would like to buy any plants from Judith, she is based at 3 Quay Lane, Minehead, which is near the junction of Northfield Road and Blenheim Road.
